HELP WANTED

tanning salon attendant

One day I walked into my tanning salon and found out that the girl who worked there went to my school. She asked me if I wanted a job there, and I thought, "Tight! Free tanning and discounts on all those expensive products, right?" I was very wrong!

It was the most boring job ever. I worked Friday, Saturday and Sunday and it was really slow. All the hairdressers and nail people went home at around one or two, and I got there at three, so I was always there all by myself just waiting for people to call for appointments or walk in. When people get out of the tanning beds, I had to go clean them; even if a big hairy guy had just used one and sweated like there was no tomorrow. Sometimes the sweat would look like a river, just a huge stream. And oh boy, I never imagined girls could sweat that much either! UGH! Sometimes I ended up sitting and chilling by myself for up to one and a half hours.

Never work at a tanning place unless you like a LOT of downtime. That was a no-good job, and the bad thing is I still have it because I need the money.
