restaurant hostess
Last summer I knew I had to save up to buy a car but I didn't have any way of getting money. So I got my lazy butt off the couch and found a job as a hostess. I applied at a couple of different restaurants but ended up working at a local restaurant that everyone went to (which was great because I got to see my friends over the summer more). All of the other hostesses were girls my age so we would talk if the restaurant wasn't too busy. Overall it was a pretty easy and fun job, as long as there wasn't some snotty customer who was impossible to satisfy.
I only got paid $6 an hour to start, but I worked hard and soon got a $1 raise, which doesn't seem like a lot but it really is when you see your paycheck. Hosting was a lot of fun and I would encourage anyone else to try it!
