camp counselor
I worked one summer as a camp counselor for my hometown church's day care program. It was oodles of fun. Every day we did something different--roller skating, Chuck E. Cheese visits, mini golf, movies, etc.--and we always went swimming once a day. My job was basically to hang around a lot of kids and act like them (only a little more responsibly).
I worked two four-week sessions, from eight to five Monday through Friday, and had the nights and weekends to myself. At the end of each session we did a little show for the parents. Once I taught my kids to sing and dance to "Y.M.C.A." with the lyrics changed to "U.S. of A." for the 4th of July show.
Anyways. Lotsa fun. Swimming. Eating peanut butter and jelly. What a great way to forget about school and adult life.
