Every day
I take a
long
hot
shower
And wash the world away.
Sitting in 7th hour
is more bearable
knowing that soon
I can go home
And thake a shower
And wash the world away.
I run home
run to the end of the hall
to my refuge
Rush to lock the door
I block out all
distractions.
Turning on the water
getting it just right
adjusting the nozzle
to my liking.
Shedding off my clothes
take down my hair
shake my head so
my tresses are free.
Wearing
nothing more
than fading toenail polish
I jump in.
I forget my surroundings
covered in a
warm flowing
sense of well being
I am unaware of
the passage of time.
As I
wash
the
world
away
As it
goes down
the drain
in a big
soapy
foamy
mixture.
Here I am truly at peace
I take it all in
as I stand there
and
wash
the
world
away.
