poetry about emotions

dripping

wax dripped from the pink candle
and I from my chair
reminiscent memories poured honey
old polaroids tacked to the wall
dimmed light makes it hard to see
I look in the mirror and
the light hits me perfectly
but it lies
oh it lies
it's an ugly sort of beauty
an ugly sort of light
an ugly ugly mindset
an ugly ugly sight
memories dampen my cheeks
and run down my face
where he touched me before he said goodbye burnt, bitter coffee floods
my lips burns my tongue morning light forces itself upon a dark house
through eyelet curtains and mocks my dusty, dirty table I think of him
and all these memories are fading from my mind
one lonely tear drop at a time
