I'm 16 and recently got engaged to an amazing guy, whom I love to death. But everyone keeps telling me I'm too young to know who I want to be with for the rest of my life. I know I want to marry him, but a small part of me wonders if they're right. Should I take their advice and call it off or go with what I mostly feel?

Think About It
Think about these questions I'm about to ask you:
Do you really want to give up the rest of your teen years?
Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with this guy (remember once your married you can't go and hook up with other guys)?
What if you get pregnant? Are you ready to be a stay at home full time mom? Remember, you just became a teenager 3 years ago
and you have a long 4 years left.

Break It Off
If you are truly in love with him, then there's no need to rush into marital matters. Relax and enjoy your teenage years. Right now, your priorities should be school and family. Once you are older and have your life figured out, then you can start considering marriage. --Posted by cutiediva101 04:34PM EST 02/28/07
