Old hurts run deep
It's hard....trust me on this one. My boyfriend was with his last girlfriend for three years and she was cheating on him on a regular basis. He didn't find out for almost two of those three years. I've been cheated on several times too. Old hurts run deep and you need to talk to him to reassure him that it's HIM you care about. It's fine to have old hurts, but he needs to realize that you're not the one who cheated on him. --Posted by sydneyk 05:30PM EST 02/07/07

My boyfriend had the exact same problem. It took him a really long time to get past it. It bothered me for some time to know that he didn't trust me, but it's something he really has to work out for himself. You can talk to him, and tell him exactly how you feel about him not fully trusting you, but understand that to him women are all "cut from the same mold" right now. You have to really distinguish yourself from all the rest, and that's really going to take some time. My boyfriend still doesn't like it that I have guy friends, but he's getting more used to the idea. It may help if you introduce him to your guy friends and constantly tell him that nothing is going on. Look him in the eyes when you tell him that. It's still going to take some time, but it'll be worth it. --Posted by hislilarmybrat 12:15AM EST 02/07/07

I think you should talk to him. Tell him that you are not all of those other girls. Remind him that you are you. --Posted by dominicanbabygrl 10:04AM EST 02/06/07
