When I got back from my spring break just a few days ago, I was shocked and hurt to find out that the guy I have been dating for the past month (who also happens to be one of my best friends) asked another girl to prom! We had talked about going together and our relationship was going along really well, so I can't see why he would do that! How should I react? I am so torn up and heartbroken that I can't even stand to be in the same room with him, especially because he thinks that nothing is wrong. I don't know what to do! Help please!

OK, he really messed up. But you shouldnt be hurting cuz of his dumb mistakes. So what I think you should do is... yea talk to him and tell him how bad he hurt you and let him know what you want to happen. If he doesn't decide to go with you and drop her, then MOVE ON. Looks like you've been hit right in the heart there. Ask him why he did that, because like angelbaby_209 said, there is probably a reason why he did so. Maybe he didn't think you would find out. Maybe he didn't think you would care. But apparently you do, and if he avoids answering your "why" or doesn't give a good reason why he went with another girl, then he's not much of a friend. Hmmm...You said that you and this dude were dating, but that he was your best friend. Tell him that you are upset and confused, and tell him what your relationship with him means to you. Listen to his response. What you saw as a date, maybe he only saw as hanging out. That's no one's fault. When guys and girls hang out, the definitions of certain activites becomes iffy. Don't fret. Go to the prom w/ your girlfriends or another guy friend. Talk it out!
You really need to talk this out with him and ask him WHY he did that, when you thought your relationship was going so well. You need to be honest with him when you two talk about this, because then he will most likely be honest with you. What else may help is to TELL him to be honest with you. Just a suggestion!

Wow...that is a big no-no. You really need to talk this over with him. Ask him why he did it. There might be a reasonable explanation for what he did. If not, you should tell him that what he did is not cool. Tell him that you can't deal with him asking other girls out. If he really loves you he'll understand and ask you to the prom. If he's acting like a little know it all then DUMP HIM! He does not deserve you! Most importantly don't let him bring you down.
