Whenever I go to family get togethers my aunts and uncles always ask me if I have a boyfriend yet. My mom even wanted me to go on a blind date with her coworker's son.
I'm 18, I've never had a boyfriend and I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon. It's a bit of a sensitive issue for me and I wish they would just back off. How can I let them know that my love life is my business and nobody
else's?
Don't Pressure
Well I think you should let them know that you just dont want a boyfriend right now. And also let them know that the right person obviously hasn't came in your life yet. Also tell them that if you're happy that's all that matters.
But then again maybe they think you're lonely or a lesbian. But I'm pretty sure that wouldnt be the case.
And I'm not trying to say I think you are. --Posted by badd_gurl_bre 04:38PM EST 10/16/08
Easiest Way.
You want to know what it is?
Then LIE that you already have a Boyfriend.
Hire some guy who have some guts to pretend that his your BF. --Posted by steisha 05:06AM EST 10/16/08
Kill One Of Them
I'm sure if you murdered one of them they would stop pestering you. Haha I'm just kidding!
I think you should just tell them to stop worrying about it. --Posted by jjbean 07:21PM EST 10/15/08
I think you should talk to them one by one and tell them how you feel and hope they respect your opinion. --Posted by lachelle16 11:56AM EST 10/14/08
I have the same problem. I explain gently to my relatives that I'd prefer to keep that information private, and I let them do with that information what they will. I'm sure your relatives mean well, and they just want you to be happy, but I do agree that it's terribly annoying having to justify yourself against people you share bloodlines with. --Posted by oculophilian 12:48AM EST 10/14/08
