so what.its u
So what! That's a part of who you are and it makes you different from everyone else. Be proud to show of something that's naturally part of you. Flaunt it and let people see how good a body can be with birthmarks. --Posted by missunique26 12:02PM EST 04/09/08

I have one! It's on my cheek, and everytime I go places I feel like everyone's looking at it! They can think whatever they want. I am me! So don't be self-conscious. --Posted by samanthadenise08 08:04PM EST 04/08/08

I Know The Feeling
I used to feel the exact same way. I have a huge birthmark on the back of my leg, and a couple years ago it really used to bother me. I would put makeup on it and everything! Now I forget about it most of the time because I realized that other people are in similar situations.
Think about it--if someone else had the exact same birthmark and you didn't, would it really ever cross your mind? The only time anyone has ever mentioned my birthmark is when they told me it was cute. --Posted by cammx812 04:38PM EST 04/08/08

That Makes You Unique
So what if you have a birthmark? I kind of want one, actually! Be happy you have one. Embrace tha fact that the birthmark is a part of you. It makes you stand out. There's no need to be self-conscious. Really! --Posted by icey_blu_eyez 11:16PM EST 04/07/08

Yeah
I don't have birthmarks - I have cafe-au-lait spots (from my neurofibromatosis). I guess they are similar in a sense, but I have a lot more than just one. They appear on one side of me, so they go down my leg, thigh and up my back. I got a swimsuit that covered the particular part of my back, but I still had to deal with being self-conscious about my legs.
I just try to enjoy the activity I'm doing and not worry about it. Besides, if people judge you for a birthmark, they weren't good to have around anyway. --Posted by bunnyluver2 09:26PM EST 04/07/08

Me Too
I am a chocolate colored girl, and I have a light colored birthmark on my face. People talk about it all the time, but I love myself and all of my flaws.
If people dont like you because of it, then you don't need them. You need to be around people that like you for you--not for what you look like. If you love yourself, then what people think about you or your birthmark won't matter. --Posted by dat_gurl07 09:21PM EST 04/07/08
