Same problem
I know what you are going through. I had the same problem and I made the mistake of breaking up with him. When it was over I realized what I wanted in a guy I had already had. I didn't know what I had until it was gone. I really liked him but none of my friends thought he was cute. They all said eewww hes so ugly and then I got embarrassed by him. Now if only I could turn back time I wouldn't have listened to anyone but my feelings for him. Hopefully this helps.

I know what you are saying. My friends do the same. DON'T WORRY. If you like him you just do don't be a fool. Show you friends what you're working with. YOU LIKE HIM!!! That's all that matters

That's just dumb
I had a boyfriend not too long ago that even I didn't find attractive, but that's not why I was dating him. I dated him because I loved his personality...you just need to explain that to your friends, and if they can't understand that, then maybe you should find new ones...

Who cares what they think!
Different people have different opinions. They are probably just jealous. They don't know what he is really like, they don't know what he's like inside (what he likes, how nice he is, etc.). Don't let them discourage you. Keep on dating the guy. The next time they criticize him, just say, "I don't care what anyone thinks. If you feel that way, then that's fine. Different people have different opinions."

Why do you get embarrassed? If you truly like him then don't let what your friends say bother you!! I know they mean a lot to you, but he does too. I'm sure that you wouldn't let him talk about your friends like that, so don't let them talk about him that way.

So your friends dont like him. So? They AREN'T dating him, YOU are. Looks aren't everything. If he has a great personality, then it doesn't matter. Next time your friends make fun of him, tell them that if they are willing to make a truce, say that you won't ever make fun of their boyfriends if they don't make fun of yours. Hope this helps.
