hooray i'm first! *is elated* (i knew my insomnia was good for something >.>) anyways, yeah, i think they're pretty alright, i mean, you get to spill out your guts, which is extremely helpful at times, and it gives people opportunity to give advice to your problems and just generally be more aware of your life if they want to be. besides, can you honestly think of anything actually negative about them?

They're great!
Although I'm too lazy to keep up a blog, I think they're a great way to keep up your writing skills. You need to get your point across to everyone, and you need good writing skills and a good vocabulary to do so.
It's also a great way to vent about things :P

i like writing blogs and if you write something mean about someone then obviously dont make it public. keep it private. i love writing out my feelings and later re-reading them and figuring out what the hell was wrong with me lol. :)

I do it all the time. It's mostly my thoughts about stupid people, or how my day went, and it can be pretty funny sometimes. I love reading other people's. Some people have a lot they need to say and it can be pretty good. Some of it even profound.

blogs are so much fun...even if nobody reads them. They're like a diary, but updated since it's on the computer. If you're gonna write no so nice stuff make it private, or at least change the names of people who you don't want to hurt.

I used to like blogging, but not anymore. I just don't have time for it. I think regular journals/diaries are better. They're more personal, and you don't have to worry about any backlash from it. If you don't want anyone to know what you wrote, then you don't have to worry about privacy filters. You just don't show it to anyone. Also, everytime a major event happens, you don't have time to sit down in front of a computer. It could be weeks between blog posts, and then the initial excitement is lost.

too much time
it's so hard to keep up with, and really hard to get people to actually come to it.. also most people don't have that much time on their hands, but the people that do make blogs are still fine, they're just not for me. I just don't have enough time.. Blogs are some people's ways of venting and making their voice heard I know, but just not me.
