My opinions on caller ID... Dur you need it!
It is great because if you hate those peeps who call like thousands of times to sell some junk and you've told them NO! Also if your friend took your boyfriend and your like sooo upset and she calls you can sob and ignore her instead of having no caller ID and picking up the phone just cuz it could be anyone and then you answer like " *sniff* hello..?" and she is all like " Hey hey girlie me and your former boyfriend who is now my boyfriend want you to go to the movies with us and the whole cheer squad.. yay hehe.. oh and we are all wearing Marc Jacob outfits soz like duh, wear yours! ta ta"

It's a great tool because it lets you know who's calling, just in case you don't want to talk to them. If you know that they'll talk for a whlile and you're heading out the door, CallerID helps a lot. Besides, if you have CallerID and you're kid is home alone, they can check to see if it's a number they recognize and will answer the phone if they know it's their parents or grandparents.

It's really helpful!! I couldn't live without my caller ID! If someone I didn't know, or someone I really hated tries calling me i wouldn't pick up the phone...

i like knowing who is on the phone. that way, if you dont want to talk to some money collector or someone who is your parents friends or something, then you dont have to be like "no, ___ is not home right now. yes. i will take a message" and you can always use your parents cells to do prank calls lol or pay phones.

I like caller id cause if a person calls that you don't wanna talk to you don't have to pick up the phone cause you already know who it is.

Makes things easier
I mean, there really isn't much to say. I like it. It's nice to see who's calling you, and if you don't know the number you can just wait and see if they leave a voicemail.

another quick comment
to the people who are like "well, if they wanna apologize....blah" If they're SO flippin sorry, they'll leave you a voicemail telling you so instead of giving up if you decide not to answer your phone. They should realize your not gonna want to answer it.

i love caller id. i used to not have it then we got it and now wen i see my friends # on the phone i can just pick up like "hey" not "hello?" its way better so u no who is calling and if its not some creep cuz wen it says unknown name and unknown # we dont pick it up lol

we can live without it. i know, i do.
plus, if you're in a fight with a friend and you want to call to apologize but they see your number on caller ID and don't answer, it's that much more difficult to get the message across. if they answer with a simple "hello?" you can say "i'm sorry" before they have the chance to hang up, but not if they never answer in the first place.

I agree with "antelopefetus". Caller id is completely unneccessary. We can live without caller id. We dont really need it because if a friend is trying to call you and apologize, you may not answer the phone after looking at his/her phone number.And, as someone said on the same page, What's the thrill of getting a call from some really hot guy you met at some place if you already know its him? But on the other hand, It is really important to have caller id. It may save your life. You can always get to know who is calling you. If you have caller id and you're kid is alone at home, they can check to see if it's a number they recognize and will answer the phone if they know it's their parents or grandparents. But, if its an unrecognized number, like maybe a stranger or someone they dont know ,then they can tell the police who can track down that number and see who is calling. And your kid can be extremely safe(not completely safe, but atleast a little safer than when you dont have a caller id)

Damn *69 and Caller ID! You can't prank anyone anymore cuz A: they'll know it's you from the number or B: if you don't know them, they can *69 you back.
