uh-uh!
I understand what you mean, but loads of dogs don't have lots of fur!!!
Anyways, I think it is cute when dogs dress up, especially if they match their owner! If humans dress up, i don't see why dogs can't, as long as it isn't over-done.

poor pooch :(
I live in maine, and its not exactly "toasty" here...I need to dress up my dog so she stays warm :) --Posted by dandelion_202

cuties
They look soooooooooooopooo cute in doggie clothes. i f the dog don't like it or try to take it off I wouldn't make it wear it. But when i get my new little doggie it will have just as much clothes as me. --Posted by ch2010

dressing up your dog.
I work for a dog grooming shop, so thats kind of my job is to make the dogs look great. I don't go too crazy with dressing them up, but for like a holiday I'll give my dogs like bows on their ears and in the winter they wear doggy sweaters, and they like them...especially because they can stay outside longer if its cold because they are warm...and if they have short hair they like the sweaters also. And alot of dogs like getting dressed up and looking good, and they know they look good they'll prance around all over the place because it makes them feel and look good. so yeah nothing is wrong with dressing your dog up a little bit. --Posted by iiweibteeek
cute as can be
i think its so adorable it gives ur pup personality and its own identity so it doesnt look like any other dog, it can be its own doggy. --Posted by phatty-gurl

Only if it's winter
I think you should only dress your pet up too keep it from being cold. Dressing it up like celebrities do just to make them look cute, I don't think it's neccessary or right. --Posted by cara141
its cute
I love seeing my pets dressed up. I put bows in my puppies hair all the time and he loves it lol. its extremely cute. --Posted by kissmedeadlyx3
LUV IT!!
it's adorable, and fun!! --Posted by she_be_tati
it's cute! - in moderation
i wish i could pick in between, i think it's cute to put your FEMALE dog in a tutu at halloween, but like it's too much for everyday. personally, i make my dog wear coats, like cute ones though, but if he like tries to take them off, then thats mean. also, gender counts. i love dog clothes when their gender approriate --Posted by dolly810

judgemental
i think it is fun (if the animal is not totally annoyed or uncomfortable) but i really like doing it. one thing i dont like is how some people think that people who dress up there pets are dumb blondes and basically judge them for it!!!!! --Posted by starsinger224

hell no
i think it's annoying and just obnoxious... not cute at all. --Posted by milkmaiden

Terrible
It's terrible for people to dress up their pets. They were given fur to keep them warm. They have a full fur coat. And your putting more on top of that. --Posted by theusedd

I think it's bad...
to do like a lot of famous people (like Paris Hilton for example). They make their
pets wear really awful costumes, not just clothes. I understand that some dogs needs an extra "fake-fur" to wear when it's cold outside, but that is not an excuse to dress your dog up like a clown or a ballerinadancer. --Posted by vendiis

Its not nice
I dont think this is ryt i mean if u c some pets wen they r dressed up they try to take the clothes off i mean it is just cruel. I think that proper , traditional things like coats for dogs are okay but not dressing them up in versions of human clothes it is just wrong!!! --Posted by mitberley

Nah
I don't mind coats/jackets for dogs, cause it can get a little cold, but dresses and stuff like that are just demeaning to your animals. The only time its ok is for therapy dogs to make people laugh. Otherwise, No. --Posted by whinnieme
must be hell for the pet --Posted by movie_gurl
yea i think its cute to see dogs dressed up most of the time, but my dog would not put up with that. she eats everything. its degrading, unless the dog really doesn't mind. --Posted by e1990c
WHY???
the poor pets. the only thing i make my dogs wear is a colar.

wrong
its a horrible thing to do. it makes them look like idiots!! i would never do that do my cat... --Posted by tray92
My dog had a biker jacket he would wear when it got cold, and he really liked it. He had a rain coat too because wet dog is not a nice smell. But in the summer it's too hot in VA to wear clothes for people, let alone animals. My cat though, she throws a fit when I try to put a collar on her. She looks like she wants to scratch my eyes out. But she likes going outside, and so she has to wear one. That's about the only "clothes" I put on her.
During Halloween I think it's cute. But that's different because a bunch of people dress up, and pets are an extension of the family. But for every day wear, no. And I hate that people dye their animals fur. That's just...ugh. Green dogs are not attractive. --Posted by hislilarmybrat

not fair at all!
i think that we are responciable to be the voice for our pets and animals since they cant speak for them seleves and by dressing them up in something we think is cute? well its like when we were little and our moms would dress us up in cute, frilly, fluffy things that we hated to wear....its just not fair ...unless the animal some how picks it out.... leave it to them to cover up! --Posted by idance06

those dogs are terrified
I mean a raincoat is fine on a rainy day when youre taking your dog on a walk and a coat is fine when it's freezing, but seriously what cold hearted person would dress up a dog in a tutu? --Posted by riversea222
i wouldn't dress my pets but sometimes it is pretty funny --Posted by causelovehurts
No way
I think it's disgusting. Animals aren't little show and tell playthings that you can dress up in whatever you like. They're animals, and they're not meant to wear doggy dresses and 'skorts' and other rubbish. --Posted by dastars_kitty
Ehhh....not for me
I personally would never dress my cat in clothes. It's probably uncomfortable and a lil bit humiliating for the animal. But I guess in the end it's whatever floats yer boat. --Posted by rock-n-rollerdisco14
