Then you don't have the pressure of having a good time depend on just one other person besides you. Also, sometimes it's better to just have a giant group of friends and be with them.

well im going to my prom alone,besides i dont want the guy tagging along on my tail cause hes not having fun..it seems like when girls take a date,they are under pressure,and all attention goes to him,then ur not having fun

I did i just went with friends and had a lot of fun. It was much better b/c if you go w/ someone who have to argue over which friends your going to ride w/ and which limo your going to ride in, and that's just too much drama for me.

I mean seriously, you don't need a guy to make you happy at the prom. and if you go with a guy, you'll be too consumed with hanging out with him and not your friends. WAY more fun! and you can't act like an idiot when your with a guy either.

heck yeah you should go!!! who needs a date? if your not going just becasue you dont have a date makes you weak, it basicaly says " i cant show up if i dont have someone clinging to me constantly" its all about girl power, wear somethin really sexy and make those bastereds regret they did not ask u to go with them. and its better anyway, u can dance with mulitple boy without a date getting mad at u for grindin another really hot guy

It's way more fun to go with your BFF's and have a good time. If a guy asked me, I'd say sure, but still have my friends with me so we can all talk or dance 2gether.

Yup, I dig it..
It's great if you know your date well and know you'll have the time of your lives, but otherwise you might spend more time being worried about making a good impression than about letting loose and having fun. Plus, it might be the last time you get to party with high school friends and acquaintances, so why not spend more time mingling?

I think the more people go dateless to the prom the more likely you are to find a date at the prom! And what better way to start off a relationship than to dance for five hours straight!

When I went to my prom and I didn't have a date and I had a great time it was a lot of fun and I would do it again if I had to.

to be honest prom is over rated. yes, i had a wonderful time at my prom but it wasn't as much as people made it out to be. its jus one night that u spend hundreds of dollars on. and then ppl come just to take a picture, see what every body has on, dance for a minute and then they jet... and you know why. prom is like a really expensive date and for what; your gonna have on that dress the whole time because u have to hit the after parties or do something else, prom is just another excuse to be "grown" w/out the responsibilities. nothing more. but if you've never been to a formal event go, if not don't worry if u dont wanna go. after u graduate i promise that diploma will be the only thing on your mind.

honestly, if you can't get a date, you should still go, but GET A DATE! there has to be someone! i mean you have to have met a boy sometime in your life, or a girl, or whatever you're into, and you can take them to prom. sure its not ideal, but don't you want someone for those awkward slow dances, and what not?

It's PROM not HOMECOMING!
For me, this is PROM!! It's WAY more formal than homecoming. You HAVE to find somebody out of the 3,000 people at your school! Ur just not looking hard enough!! SOMEBODY'S willing to take you! Homecoming is the dance where you can go with 20 friends. But prom, it's just uncomfortable and awkward to go alone.

yeah its cool if you go to prom with just your friends, but its wayy better if go with a date. and we all know that deep deep inside going to prom without someone sucks even though we cover it up by saying " im going with my friends and its going to be much more fun " . prom is a night to remember , why not remember it by saying you went with your highschool sweetheart .

Well it could go either way but overall I have to dis cause its not really a true prom expierence if you go by yourself. Take a friend or something.

i don't agree with someone missing prom becuase they didn't have a date but..
it would be kinda lonely. maybe your friends will be doing their own thing and youll be by yourself. the only upside is being able to dance with whoever you want. unless your friends are going to be with you, prom would not be as fun without a date
