I thknk that sex ed should be available at every school
Not only a one day thing either because students need more information that what you can give them in just one day. --Posted by pitouneajacques

its needed!
its needed but there are so many things they dont tell you. but there should be some way where you could read up on things that your afraid to ask or just out of curiuosity. but then again...thats what this site is for. lol --Posted by gunit411

YEAH BUUUDDDDYYYY
sex ed is very educational especially for the kids whose parents dont have the guts to tell them what it is...so they dont get the wrong information from other random people! --Posted by iluvme000000
luckily, i went through sex ed before the bush abstinence-promotion stuff...and as giggly and immature as it makes you feel, its tots important, for real. --Posted by dancechik444

Dig It!
I think it's really important for girls to know what happens after sex or during sex, etc. I've meet a lot of people who don't know how to have sex or literally don't know what it is and I think Sex Ed helps you find out information about it. Go Sex Ed!

Errr...
I'll have to dis it, at my school we had one every figgin year for like 4 years and guess what? All it really does is tell you common sense stuff, at least at my school. Oh wow, girls have periods? Really?! Oh, and you can get an STD from having sex?! No duh, I can safy say I've learned more at this site then in those years of going throw that worthless class... Maybe it's the fact that it's more comfy here too. ^^;; --Posted by cecet_nekogurl
while it is good that we know about all of this stuff all they do is scare us for a week and then you dont think about them when you need to anyway. --Posted by tlc.jts
if we got sex ed i might care --Posted by orangeroxon

It's Important but TRUTH is more...
I think our Sex Ed. needs to be changed. The thing is our school has a pro Christian, pro abstinance. Personally, they need to divide the class with the people who are sexually active(so they can get information they need) and those who choose to abstain(they can have information tailored to them). Alot of the information my sex ed taught was inaccurate and stingingly insulting to people who choose to have sex. You can google sex education programs and find research saying how inaccurate these programs are. I have been through sex ed and don't know how to put on a condom which I may need to know in my life. How is this the prevention of STDS? It's not. I asked my boyfriend if I would have an STD if I screwed more than more than 3 people(which my teachers said so). He said that it is really low. He showed me the progression of STDs in high school(circle) verses college(straight line). --Posted by daimere

curriculum needs to change
i hate how sex ed is taught these days. it's abstinance only and it is rediculous. telling a bunch of teens "don't do it" isn't affective. it's like telling a toddler not to touch the stove. they're gonna do it anyways. might as well teach them about contraception, outercourse, and the options that a woman has if she does become pregnant. --Posted by lovely_demoness_666
its sooo embarasing they put the boys and girls together! --Posted by califroniachixrule
tell us something we don't know
the idea of it is good, but all the tell us is things hat are obvisious...yes we all know what puberty is blah blah stds are bad yes we know talk to us about stuff like how certain people [as in guys] might try and pressure you to do things and that they wont love you anymore becaue you put out. and another thing , focusing soley on abstinence and waiting for marriage..the way the do it makes the teens at school almost rebel away from it and want to experience sex more. i just think schools have it all wrong. --Posted by itslikeemilyduh

AHG!
I Hated my sex ed class because the teacher never really told us anything about sex. It wasn't really good for information and alot of kids just tried to skip the class. It was dumb. I'm okay with sex ed in school but they need to update their curiculum, its 2006 not 1973. --Posted by ally_whaat
Never had it, yet.
I'm going to have sex ed next year and I'm not looking forward to it. This year we had a puberty class(at my old school) and at least they seperated boys and girls for that. The puberty woman was not proffesional at all, she treated us like babies and used baby words and sh#t.
Anyway, from what I know about sex ed, it doesn't sound too nice. Just telling kids not to do it won't stop them, and it will make them want to do it more. --Posted by monkeypuff
My curriculum sucked
in 8th grade we had a abstinece only education of sex. and they wouldn't tell us anything about birth control, no only that they badmouthed it said it was a replacement for self control! My teacher actually said, "Girls keep your hemlines low and your necklines high." And didn't say anything to the boys about THEIR dress standards! And what about after your married and you don't want kids? Then knowing a little about Condoms might come in handy but NNNNOOOOOO!
And they year after that 9th in my honors English class someone was reading thier story about thier unlce who breeds cows and talked about seamen and one girl, who's father was a LDS Minister, and took that sex ed the year before asked "What's seamen?" --Posted by sitca13
I dis one thing and only one thing about sex ed...
I dis that in Sex Ed, all that they teach you is totally pro-christian. It's unfair. For the past 4 years, I've been listening to the same thing, "Of course, you girls wont be ready to have sex until after you're married". Yeah, way to shove your beliefs down my young, impressionable throat. --Posted by beatles_luvr
er...
Not cool. --Posted by iluvjohnnyboy
I dunno.
I just think that it's being taught wrong. All their telling you is about crap that you already know, and they just say, "don't do it! You'll get an STD!" They don't really tell you anything you don't know. And the teacher KNOWS that some kids are just not gonna listen & screw 394873957 different people, and they can't do anything about it because they didn't tell them the important things, they don't really tell you anything about it. That's probably why so many people in the US have more STDs than alphabet soup. lol. --Posted by bloomflower

needs to change
the classes rally need to be updated. its good to have the class but they just tell us the same thing every year. "Dont do it youll get pregnant or an std" thats no good to us we already know that theres a chance of that. teens are going to have sex now a days. the can tell us not to do it but that wont stop most people. they should not encourage sex and all but tell us how to be safe if we do make that life changing decision to do it. --Posted by lolx4xfun
pretty gross
well it's got it's pros & cons but overall i think it fudging sucks..kids ask stupid questions they already know the answers to & the whole class needs to be updated to current 2006 records so that we can be informed of the new std's & all that other gross ish...they act like its the 70's still & that video is like x123234850 years old. --Posted by sourr_patch
