i hate school dances because they are just sooooooooo dumb the way people act at them especially the stupid popular girls!!!!!! they totally think there all that just because they have some stupid boyfriends and it makes the other girls feel bad sometimes! i have a boyfriend but he dosn't like them etheir because everyone is just too weird!! popular girls! why can't they just stop being so stuck up at those dances!

School dances are cool b/c you can dance, talk to your friends, etc. Also, it's like a party that everyone is invited to. AND you can dance with the guy you like and show off to him and no one can say shittake mushrooms about it.

I love school dances. Just because of the fact that most of the time its a chance for the popular kids to show off doesn't mean nothing and I'm not just saying that cuz I am one but its true. I see all types of kids even goths(no offense)showing off their "cool" dance moves. School dances are just a chance to have fun and hang out wit your ppls or make new ones.My school dances are fun since we get to request songs and we can dress casual(not at proms though). I think everyone should give it chance,even if you think it will suck go wit some friends and actually dance and if someone has a problem wit it they'll get over cuz they just jealous cuz they can't dance.

OMG people! Don't blame the popular crowd for bad dances! Who cares that they have boyfriends/girlfriends. I am sooooo not popular, but I love dances cause I have fun! If people are jealous of those w/boyfriends/girlfriends, how gross! Jealousy is NOT flattering. If dances suck that much, don't go and stop putting the popular peeps down!

I think they only reason people hate it is cause there school can't throw a good dance or that they can't get a date. My school only has 2 a year, while my sis has 4-6(private school). They play hip music and not little kid music. If only we had like one 4 spring and even aloud 2 bring dates that would be ok with me.

I just moved like a week ago but I used to live in an extremly small country town The dances there were fun and suprisingly everyone got along all the girls danced in a big crowd, and the slow songs were romantic That's were alot of girls get their first kiss !!!!!!!!!!!!

I get so much shit for dancing dirty with my bf from teachers. My English teacher saw me grinding on my boy and ignored me for a week and gave me a C on a paragraph that was completely normal!! I was so pissed! So now, i just throw and go to parties...not at school!

I've never liked school dances. The music always sucks, and you always feel awkward whether you have a date or not. If you have a date, it's on display for all the world to see, and you become the new "item" on campus and everyone's talking about you. If you don't have a date, you feel left out. There's never much to do if you get sick of dancing either. I suppose prom and homecoming are exciting, but seeing as my high school doesn't do homecoming because we don't have sports, and I just finished sophomore year so I haven't gone to prom yet, I wouldn't really know. All in all, though, I'd rather do other things than go to dances. For me they just create too much drama. I'd rather do something else with a boy I like.

I HATE school dances. They only play Rap, Hip-hop, and Heavy Metal, and I HATE that. The music makes the dance, and if you hate the music, you hate the dance. I get made fun of the whole time, too. People make jokes about asking me to dance with them and make fun of me even more whenever I'm not dancing. Then there's the popular girls running around acting like morons.

School dances are just another place for the cool kids to show off and to make the other kids feel bad. If you don't get invited it's hard to find a group to go with, especially in High School where everyone goes with a date. In middle school they were just stupid because you never did anything (none of the guys dance. Come on! We didn't go to a stand around!). The high school dances are a lot of fun though. I'm indifferent.
