Moon boots aren't new!
They have been around for quite some time, yes they are cute I just hate the people who are like "oh moon boots are so new and the coolest trend now!" They are just like Converse-they've been around for some time and are now emensly popular w/ teens and adults...the trends are all coming back from our parents time!!!

Nobody here had ever heard of "moon boots" until a sensationally crappy little film called Napoleon Dynamite came about. It's a bad, stupid movie and the boots look absolutely ridiculous (I understand that is the desired effect, but some people don't seem to get that. Take this guy from my history class as an example. He owns those stupid boots and wears them to school, has at least 4 Napoleon Dynamite t-shirts that I know of, and frequently quotes the movie during class. People like him ruined that film, nay, life, for me).
