It really means a lot to me.
I think when you are able to meet your boyfriend/girlfriend's parents, you are really getting to know them on an entirely different level. These are the people that raised the person that YOU are dating. Once you are in with the parents, you are looked at in an entirely different light. Yay for meeting parents!

Nothing to be scared of
You might get nervous at first because you would wonder if they will accept you, but there's nothing to be scared of if you just be yourself. I met my sweetie's parents and they are really cool. So i totally DIG IT!

I really enjoyed meeting my boyfriends parents, because I feel like he is the person that I will be with for life. When you meet the parents, it makes you feel like you are apart of the family now, and you will be more at ease with being around their parents. It's almost like they become your second parents, and you also have a second home. I don't know it's just a thought, but only positive can come from meeting the parents. (unless you're just a freak, just kidding!!) lol.

i cant wait to meet my bf's parents. well i already met his dad, but he didnt kno i was his sons girl friend, hah! but his dad is not a close part in his life so he wont be in mine, but his mom is like a secound mom to me. i just wanna meet her. and i know she will like me, LoL! but yea, i totally think meeting the parents makes you feel like a part of his family, something like that.

My Boyfriends Parents Are Awesome
When I first met them I barly said anything. I barly talk to my own parents. Now I feel apart of the family. Ive driven four hours [to see my bf at his summer house] with just his dad and for half the ride we talked. Ive met his grandma too and she gave me such a warm loving hug :)

Well I've never had a bf but I assume that meeting his parents would feel a little intimidating...but after a while Im sure I'd get used to them :)

I know how important it is to meet your hunnies parents but it is so nerve racking! you dont know how to ask or wiether to be outspoken or quiet and then there's the fear of if you dont make a good impression then they wont accept then son/daughter dating you.

Yes meeting them can bring closer to your sweetie, but the fact that you are so nervous sucks! Like i have never met anyone else's parents and i have met my boy's mom ( he only lives with her) and soon i am meeting his grandparents trust me it is nerve racking!

Honestly. Meeting the parents is quite possibly the scariest thing on the planet. It's also only necessary if you've been with your guy/girl a long time. Or if it's a serious relationship. So to all who brave this scary event...good luck, godspeed, i hope you return alive.

Just not that one time
I was once meant to be going to meet my boy's parents, and I was totally nervous. My mum just kept saying "Oh you're just nervous because you've never done this before". But then I realised it was actually because I didn't like my boyfriend as much as I thought I did, and I didn't want his parents to grow attached to me as well as him.

I met his parents and they hated me... his dad thought I was nice, but his mom was sooo mean to me! I guess I shouldn't have called his house sooo much. His whole family got annoyed, but his dad was never home when I called so he wouldn't know. His older sister hates me the most, she called me and cursed me off. And his mom is like,"Don't come by our house!" I broke up with him and things are just worse.
