Maybe not in later life, but in highschool when very little is serious, I dont think there's anything wrong with it. Highschool (to me) is all about testing out the waters anyway, getting comfortable with dating so when a serious opportunity does come along, you're prepared. Girls who serial date aren't whores or sluts necessarily, some (like me) just get bored easily. I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I often think that all the negative things other people say towards serial dating girls is based in jealousy - just because I can get the guy doesn't mean I'm a bad person. The only drawback I can see about serial dating is that sometimes the other person is really hurt . . . but mostly it doesn't get that serious in only a few weeks. All in all, I think serial dating is fine.

Hey what can I say?
I'm only 14 yrs. old going on 15 and i dont think that it is anything wrong with that. I try to have fun in my teen life before i become an adult and i dont let anyone stop me from doing that. I have plenty of time for serious relationships, so with serial dating I can learn more. You don't have to be slut to do it either... Unless you are really in love, it is a fun experience.

For younger people, not older
I've done it before, when I ws younger. Though I'm 19 now, almost 20, it's becoming less, and less appealing. I've been with my boyfriend for 14 months, and it's nice having one person to go to. I can always remember his name. My ex I was with for 5 years on and off, and in between those times I was with a different guy. It was a bit tiring because I never gave myself a lot of time.
It's ok in high school, but when you get older it's time to committ to trying to actually being with someone. But I wouldn't try shooting for a year right off. If you can only do it for like 3 months, when you were only doing a month before, then that's great. But I think serial dating at like 30 means you have problems. (I know people like that.)

In middle/high school its ok
I agree with giveupthegrudge somewhat. In middle or highschool you're just testing out new things and seeing what's good for you. It's a good way to find out more about yourself, who you like, what qualities you like in people, what to do, what not to do, etc.

i got hurt in a serial dating relationship. we broke up Friday and he couldn't seem happier. i was hurt like hell. i really did love him, but now i'm left in the dust. i don't advise it unless he's truely in for it. you will get hurt. guys are crazy sometimes. they don't always know what they want, especially in high school. then, they're all about booty calls. that's what they really want. someone they can get sex from, and i don't do the whole pre-marital sex thing, so, they're gonna have to deal without getting any from me unless i'm married to him, and i will only marry for love, not just so i can sleep with someone. that's just my opinion. the opinion of one person.

what is the use of staying with someone in high school for long times? its not like your going to marry the person, so this way its just going to stop you form getting to attached and then end up getting hurt.. you should just test the waters and see what you like. realisticaly how many people end up marrying after meeting at 15.. umm NONE!!

I'm young! Why settle down with the first guy who comes my way? This is a great way to see what else is out there w/o totally letting go of ppl! If u guys are meant to be then it will all work out in the end! But doing this w/o the other person's ok is just WRONG! Not to mention SLUTTY!

Not For Me
Some girls get restless and want to meet as many guys as they can. But I am not one of those girls. I'm more of a long-term relationship kind of girl. I guess I'm more in the comfort and stability that an actual relationship can bring. I often find that "serial" daters can end up being with everyone. But by doing so, they're really being with no one.

Eventually you get aggravated by all the dissapointments dating alot of guys can bring, so you wanna find the right one for you. Dating is fun while you're young but once you get older you must realize what you really want in a guy and look for HIM!!

Me and my sweety have been togther 4 almost two years now from 6th grade to 8th. I dont see anyhting wrong with it. I mean if you like him and he likes you why not stay togther.
