Depends on how mature or immature you and the guy are. Some younger girls only get along with with guys and the other way around. Plus once you're 18 it doesn't matter if he's 5 years older...

I totally agree with dating older guys. every guy i have dated has been older except for one who was my age. my boyfriend i have now is older than me. i think that i am attracted to older guys because they tend to act and be more mature than guys my age.

Im 15 and my ex boyfriend was 17. I think all girls like me should date someone older, they are more responsible, more mature and treat you well. Younger guys are cute but they dont have the experience the way older guys do. Chances are older guys have messed up with girls in the past, so they realize their mistakes and learn from them.

My guy is 16 and im 13 (turning 14 this next saturday) and he is definetly much more mature and expirienced. I know he wants sex but i told him that when im good and ready to ill give him some. HE said he didnt even care if i did or not that he still would love me and be with me. ALso he can drive me places which not the reason im with him.

i see nuttin wrong with it i am 13 and my b/f is 17 we know that their is an age gap and so dose our parents and no one has a prob. with it i love my b.f and age dont matter but if u r 30 and u want to date a 14yr old that sick and can u say jail bait lol but if there isnt that big of gap no more than 4 and half years there nuttin wrong with it if is ok with u and that dude and ur guys parents theres nuttin wrong with it just rember some older guys only want one thing from a girl that y u got to watch out for guys like that

I have dated younger guys and older guys, I prefer older. The guy I am dating now is 23, im 16. Yeah, 7 years may be a lot but it dont matter to me. Younger guys just dont understand the meaning of relationships. The guy I am dating now would do anything for me... he is my world. If im feeling sick hes by my side with soup, if im feeling stressed hes there to rub my back, if im upset and in the hospital with my gma, guess what?? Hes right there beside me crying. I love it. Younger guys dont do that. They dont care. The guy I am dating has a lot of morals, goals, and knowledge... yet guys that are like 14 and 15 dont really have that... they dont know what they want yet. I'm 13 and my b/f is 17 and yea theres an age difference but only 4 yrs. o well. but if he was 18 then that wouldnt be right. Older guys are more mature than younger guys. My b/f makes me fell special and treats me good. he's so sweet. younger guys r so shy they dont kno wat to do. But thats just me, I've gone for the older guys.

Older guyz just want sex from younger gurlz! They should be arrested for doing that crap,how can other gurlz think it's okay? You never know they might be using than that is so true,older guyz just use younger gurlz.Younger gurlz just use older guyz just because they have money or cars,now that is just shallow,guyz that are the same age as us is just as nice dating older guys,they grow too! They'll learn from other guyz and younger guyz just don't know that stuff yet. It depends on the age difference. If it's less than 7 years, then I think it's totally okay- more than 7 years, and I'm not so sure. It's your choice, though. Maybe if that hot celebrity who's 14 years older than me, asked me out, though...only kidding ;)

I don`t think dating someone a lot older is ok if the guy is 2 years older than u it`s not a lot, u could still have a lot in common, but if the guys is 5 or 6 years older than u, it just doesn`t feel like it`s going to work, well i can say it for own experience, i never before had liked a younger guy or the same age, i`ve always liked older guys, but it was kind of an illusion, because u think they`re something they`re not, and there`s the thing that u don`t have stuff in common, it gets boring... there`s the sex issue too, if you`re not ready eventually at some point he`s going to brake up with u, and that sucks, when i dated older guys i didn`t feel like i was always being myself, now im dating a guy that`s my age, it perfect! I feel a lot more comfortable, and we have a lot in common, the moral here is that everything has its time, just relax and be ur age.

My friend sarah has always gotten the guys. I've always been the shy,"smart one" and she has been the "Hot popular girl". Recently, she been dating older, and older guys. She started in the sxth grade at age 12 dating a 13 year old. She broke up with him eventually. That didn't bother me at all. What bothered me was when she told me she had sex with a seventeen year old! She had told him she was 15!!!! She was no longer a vigin at only age 12!!! Then she moved on to a fifteen year old who only wanted sex. She moved on. On to yet another 17 year old! She is still currently dating him. She continuisly lies to me about breaking up with him. She lies to everyone about it. She sneaks out of the house at 11:00 at night to see him! I repedly tell her he could rape her she just shrugs it off and walks away. her mom has tryed counseling, restrictions, and everything but she refuses. This is why i dis dating older guys that are at least 2 years older!

I've "dated" at least 4 older guys by now, and each and everyone of them sucked. I think it's fine when you get older, but at this age.... heck no. A five years difference when you're young is HUGE! Maybe a 60-65 year old age gap sounds like nothing, but a 10-15 yr old age gap? 5 vs. 10, 15 vs. 20. Even at 17 it felt extremely akward even hanging out with older guys. Beleive me, I'm confident, and more mature than even any of those older guys (by a lot), but there are mature boys your own age, too. You just have to look for them :) and guys in your own age group are nice too, but they're the ones that don't really stand out - the ones who are quiet and non-judgemental. Remember? The ones that you treat like dirt. Yup, them. And the thing is, hanging out with older guys (as FRIENDS) doesn't even feel like hanging out at all... it feels like a DATE. only it isn't. which makes it worse. (because it I'd known it was a date, I would have steered clear). So yeah, I have crappy dating experiences. But get guy friends your own age; they're more liable to be "just friends", and they're more comfortable to be around as well as less likely to have the power over you to rape you or make you feel uncomfortable.
Sure, they drive. that's a plus. and they buy you stuff. (yes, even the ones proclaiming that they just want to hang out as friends), and they treat you with a general (but small) amount of respect. But do you really want to date a guy who could easily tower over you and beat you in a fight? If so, then you're setting yourself up for some dangerous situations. Not to mention, for some reason older guys make you feel like you're not adequete enough or that you have to impress them in some way. Whereas guys your own age would just be happy to have a shot with you (hanging out;dating) at all, nevermind anything else. While older guys might sound great, beleive me - they aren't.
