I Like the Book...why not?
It's a good book! There's some accuracy in there, Constantine's campaign for converting, Christian symbology once being pagan...Opus Dei exists. Questions Jesus? That's idiotic. I don't think Jesus thought himself to be holy, why should we? I don't debate that he exists, and I don't debate that he performed miracles, but was he REALLY holy? --Posted by violasunite

Its a good book
I personally am impartial to religion. People should be able to beleive whatever they want. So this book had no effect on my religious veiws. But it was a good read. --Posted by dancin_chic18

like it
im catholic and i dont mind that its about jesus. it says novel, as in fiction. and if dan brown believes that its his choice. its a good book and movie. just because i saw it dosent change my opinion about my religion. religion is based on faith. its up to you wether you belive in it or not. yeah so basically i liked it lol. --Posted by febbreze

what is the evidence that the information about jesus we have is actually true? we've got a bible with 4 parts, but it's known that there are others that were not included in the bible, because they were thought to be irrelevant to the information we needed to know.
even if the davinci code story is real, it's fascinating to find out about all these cover-ups [i know that they probs aint true] and real facts. but the fact that a book has been written about it which is so in-depth, and a film too, it is widening the horizon of knowledge and encouraging people to find out more about the christian history.
btw i'm catholic but i'm open minded about religion. --Posted by eekazoid
great
i finished reading this book and it is awsome.
it in no way implies that jesus wasnt holy or the son of god or anything like that. all it is is a book about a theory of Da Vinci's. It only says that MAYBE jesus fell in love and had a child. it in no way says anything negative about jesus or god.
in jesus's time period, jewish men were almost " not allowed" to not be married. and jesus was jewish. therefore, i makes sense.
people spend so much time having a pissin match about who is right and who is wrong that they forget the initial message: jesus came here encouraging love, acceptance, and forgiveness. the very basic values of almost every religion. --Posted by donwnnabastupdgrl
Just a story
I like the story, but I hate it when people think that it is completely try because in no way whatsoever is this book non-fiction. Yes, maybe there are some true things (like the Priory of Sion did exist, but their mission was not to cover up the fact that Jesus had a baby.) People should not take it so seriously. Again, it is a fictional book. I personally beleive that if we did find out that Jesus did have a baby, it would in no way change our faith in him. Who says that he can't be the son of God and have a child? I would recommend this book to someone who likes adventures. --Posted by kate102
look at the big picture
news flash people the point of the book was not to make people question their religon. it was to get people talking about other theories, because as much as you religous people would like to believe, god and jesus isn't a concrete THEORY!! there is a little thing called science. and also whoever it was that said that anyone who doesn't believe in jesus is stupid, you should really open your eyes and try to be a little bit more respectful and open. --Posted by nab89

It was a great movie!
I really liked this movie. Of course it's all fiction, but it was so exciting and the story was so good. But then again, 99 percent of all movies are fiction, so why should we be pissed off by this one? You should go and see it, it is really worth your money. This one's gonna win big time at the Oscars! --Posted by tatuz
I love it. Personally, I think that the bible should be moved to fiction. No one can prove it anyway. I got kicked out of Barnes & Noble for moving some. --Posted by dancewithsally

taken TOO seriously
This book/movie is taken way too seriously. The book itself is a work of fiction (there are no Robert Langdon's out there who work at Harvard in the symbology department) but the theories it is based on do actually exsist. This doesn't mean that they are real.I think people look into this too seriously, and that those who get offended by it take it too personally. Me telling a Christian girl that I believe that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene is no different than a Jewish girl tell the same girl that tehy believe Jesus was not the Messiah, yet it still gets a totally different reaction. This whole thing is blown out of porportion, and I feel that everyone needs to calm down and enjoy the great action/thriller Dan Brown has created. --Posted by sweet-tangerine
Pretty good
Okay, so the film wasn't nearly as good as the book, but I liked it anyway. I can't believe what a huge fuss people are making of it. I do really believe that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. It's possible, but of course, I don't believe in God. --Posted by violetfinch

Jesus Cant Love?
God is all about love and caring. Why is the idea of Jesus having a relationship and experincing love for the opposite sex wrong? Besides its just a movie. Chill. --Posted by divine_lazy

It's called a Novel - don't take it seriously!
I don't see what the huge problem is. It's a piece of fiction - it's meant for entertainment values. It only takes religious people with tight pants to find the book offensive. --Posted by xx_lyrenia_xx
AMAZING novel....
This book was AMAZING! It is well written and thought provoking. Although I am a Christian, I don't think it's a stupid theory. I think Christians that think it's stupid are narrow-minded and overly-religious. The theory presented in The Da Vinci Code is contradictory to my beliefs, but it is obviously a thought process that is on the rise and everyone should be educated to it, which this novel did. Not only did I garner much more than I thought I would, I was entertained while I read. --Posted by chrissie_wissie06
i haven't yet seen the movie, but it looks great...i don't understand the big deal about it either, it's a movie it's meant to entertaine people, they're not trying to start a new relgion or tell people that god is bad. plus, when passion of the christ, or any other movie like that came out, you didn't see all the devil worshipers come out and protest because the movie was saying good things about god. what's the big deal? --Posted by pothicgunk

I think anybody that questions Jesus is an idiot. --Posted by xohopelessox

its a reatred theory...
and has anyone noticed that the book is "fiction"...and besides...if anyone has done any reasearch, the book wasnt written for people to question their religon, it was for entertainment... --Posted by rawlly
boring
books about jesus is stupid, i think they should get over the whole thing. --Posted by metallichrissy
how is someone going to question god the one that created the earth? --Posted by thatlilone2008

Jesus was never married to Mary Magneline
Have you ever noticed the book is fiction!!! Jesus was never married to Mary Magneline! Its a retarded theory! None of it is true, especially the "Holy Grail" being the blood line of Jesus and Mary Magneline. Try reading the bible, if you want the FACTS NOT FICTION!!! --Posted by gurlie_girl

suck!!!
i agree its stupid to question GOD so i don't like it --Posted by hot_rocker_chick

Don't question Jesus like that!
1: Questioning Jesus like that is very sinful
2: It's "fiction" and peolpe (like one of my friends) are beleiveing it. Becuase they really don't know thier religon. Ecspeacilly Christians or Cathliocs who don't even know thier own faith may beleive in this bull****.
3: Everything in it eould have been in the Bible, and it's not.
You can go ahead, and read this or wathc it, and I know you can beleive in anything you want, but this is only questionieng not just Jesus, but God, and thats a sin. --Posted by aiko1992

Overrated. People take the damn theory so seriously. & I am really sick of hearing about it. I have to say the author is a genious to question Jesus, the catholic relgion which is one of the most popular relgions known, which would cause an uproar with most catholics & an applaud to all the Manhatten folks as to something "reviting! & different!" Please, does anyone see this is a scam? Sure I have heard about the DaVinci code on the discovery channel talk about it was a theory from long ago but give me a break it's so overheard! --Posted by pissed07
Whatever
I'm not Christian but I personally DON'T think that there's anything wrong with questioning your religion. It's called thinking for yourself.
I dis the movie though because I just thought it was a let down. The ending was obvious and there was no suspense. The story was pretty good, the movie just wasn't. I'll have to read the book before I have a final say though. --Posted by neohippy

R U SRIOUS?!?!?
I'm so sick of everyone saying it's not a big deal when it is! Well just so u know I'm a Christian and proud of it:) I believe the Bible 100% true. Some of u say it's a theory and it's not even proven but that's why there's a thing called FAITH that u wouldn't seem to know about. Yeah it's fiction but what is they made a movie sayng your mom slept around, had a couple a kids, did drugs, etc. I bet u wouldn't be thinking "it only fiction" then, would u? I'm not trying to judge because only God may do that but lately I've been hearing about 6+6+06 or 666 and I don't know if it's true or not but some of yall better start prayin because there's only two places u can go to when u die. --Posted by yazzknowsall
My GOD!!!
I'm very much into religion and the world is trying to tear my religion down. It may be a good book or movie but not when they take it seriously. People are literally trying to prove that type of stuff. I pray for their salvation and God's mercy over them. --Posted by littlemiss09

dis denfintly
i agree with xohopelessox if you dis Jesus then you must be stupid! --Posted by bratz0502

boring
i didnt like it because it was boring --Posted by tootiefrutti
...but not because of religion
I don't have a problem with the religious element of it, but it's just a really dull book and there was far too much hype over the film. It didn't even turn out to be that good, and got really bad critic reviews in britain. --Posted by ffi-ffi_bach

ahhhhhhhhh
people need to realize that it is fiction!! --Posted by rmarie91
