People Dont understand
Lord of The Rings, Isn't dumb, J.R.R Tolkien was a genius he was. He created his own world, he spent FOREVER writing it. It is a very very beautiful story, the world he created is just awsome, it makes me want to cry he is just so wonderful, the whole concept of is is just wonderful, the way the characters think and the way they talk and the drama and the love and the fighting and the way they lived was just awsome, J.R.R Tolkien was a wonderful aurthor and a great person, he even created his own freakin language, Tolkien should be respected and people say it is boring, they need to pay attention to the story line it is a beautiful story, I dont watch the movie for Legolas like some people , yes he is hott but i watch it for the story line its self, it is a great movie and i love every thing about it and people shouldnt down it, J.R.R tolkien spent a long time writing them and he did a wonderful job, I practically live for those books and movies, i spend all my time reading them over and over and watching the movies because when im mad or sad they make me happy because i enter the world of J.R.R Tolkien what he created Middle Earth, people say it is stupid because it has elves and orcs and because its just " boring " well it isn't it is not at all it is a good book and movie and people need to understand the lesson and storyline. its a GREAT thing Proffesor Tolkien created! I LOVE HIS WORK!! ALL OF IT!!!!!!

The films are great and Peter Jackson interpretted the books really well. I do prefer the books and Tolkien was a genius for creating such vivid places and interesting characters! I love the films and Orlando Bloom is amazingly cute! So all in all Lord of the Rings is the best and it deserved all the oscars it got!

God you people don't know anything if you don't like lord of the rings. Man the whole story was awesome the movies were better than the books...well i like anything fantasy and adventerous and when u put the 2 together u get magic...man lord of the rings is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own all of the lord of the ring movies, and i cant get enough, if i ever see that they are on tv, even tho i've seen them all countless times.. i still watch them. I think the whole lord of the rings collection is great.. some people dont take the time to understand the movie, because some people dont like that sort of movie.. but hay, we all have opinions, i happen to love these movies!

Lotr does have a plot and if you couldn't find, I'm sorry you're an idiot.
It's a great story and many people forget it was a book first. People also forget there's more to than Orlando Bloom. It was an ensemble of great actors bringign a beloved classic to life. Not just some brit pretty boy in a wig nancing about.

people who watched these great movies and hated them need to mayne watch them again or just accept that they didn't get it in which case it's really their loss coz LOTR rocks....i mean all of them!!!

ok i am not a big fantasy, fiction geek type girl and i frigen LOVED the ****ing movies!! and who ever says there's no plot obviously wouldn't know a plot if one backhanded them across the face! k seriosuly the plot is SO simple to get, my 4 year old cousin got it within ten minutes of watching the first movie!! and pulease!! boring!!?? how can you say that?!!? there was nothign boring about these movies, if you where bored than all you had to do was just wait for Legolas (Orlando Bloom) too come back on and it made it all better! seriously who would have thought that the hottest a guy could look was as a frigen elf!!??? there aren't enough thumbs in the world to give these movies the rating i think they deserve!!

Where is the plot? All it was was a bunch of special effects. Nothing happened except an editor had fun with a movie. It makes me said when i think how we've gone from greats like Casablanca to this.

Masterpeice..that could be WAY better...
I like the look and the atmosphere of the movies, the actors and actresses were all great...BUT it was far too long and occassionally got confusing. I have not read the books, although I do have every intetion of doing so someday-but I have heard that they changed a lot of things about the charecters..and that ticks me off....because at least if you're going to make a movie that's based on a book-make the charecters the same. It makes sense having to cut things out...but changing charecters to make it seem more appropriate...does not...

Awful.
I LOVED the books, must have read them a dozen times and I really looked forward to the movies but they were a disappointment. Some actors were well chosen (like cate blanchett) but especially elija wood was terrible. And they shouldn't have gone for that love story. Or these stupid scenes with legolas surfing on his shield... come on, legolas greenleaf wouldn't do anything like that!

Omg haha i hate lord of the rings films.I think i only went to see the films cos orlando bloom was in it haha. But seriously though, why the hell wud i wanna watch a film about hobbits fighting each other and talking tree's..hardly the highlight of the week is it. The books are even worse read a page got bored put it down. xx

Nothing against orlando bloom I like him but the whole story line was so boring I fell asleep at the beginning. I didn't even see the sequels just the first one.
