I Love Music
I love music of all kinds, so I love both happy and sad songs. There are some great songs about breaking up, but of course I'm drawing a blank right now. "Everybody Hurts" by REM is a good one. "I'll Cry Instead" by the Beatles is another good one. After, a breakup, though, sometimes it's fun to just listen to upbeat music and sing really loudly and dance around. Maybe that's just me.

I love music I mean literally, a lot songs whether its breaking up or missing someone really helps, well it helps me. Like "Irreplaceble" is 1 of them and I can speak for some thats definetly a break up song. Or "What goes around" by JT is another good 1 4 me. Everyone needs that song when they break up with someone to blast and just help you get better!

I love songs about breaking up. I don't know why. It relates to real-life people and its a thing almost EVERYONE can relate to. About breaking up with someone. I love music, and music about breaking up is one of my favorites. Sometimes i'll just listen to it all day if i'm in one of those *moods*, even though I am in a happy relationship.

I think Discovering the Waterfront by Silverstein is one of the best break up songs. Basically, I just like something I can relate to well. It's comforting knowing you're not the only one out there feeling horrible.

Help me get throught it. Like in the sad stage there are like sad songs then when you are trying to get empowered there are like songs about moving on or stuff like I don't need you anymore. My faves are like "Too Little, Too Late" by JoJo and Ireplaceable by Beyonce. They are good.

what if youve never even BEEN in a relationship? or you dont care about your ex? or what if youre like super happy about your CURRENT relationship? i mean i know music is so people can express themselves but there's just way too many songs about crushes, exs, and current girlfriends. people are supposed to be able to relate to it.

I'm sorry,but they really suck. That seems to the NUMBER ONE most common and overused theme for singing. These chicks need to get a life and be the wonderful people that they are WITHOUT the guy!

This is situational
I think that it is situational. Of you're in a happy relationship or are fine being single of course you wouldn't like break up songs; but if you're listening to a song that expresses the way you feel then you may like it; or just listen to it often. Afterall we do tend to enjoy music that we can relate to.

It's bad enough that everyone goes through it, why relive it over and over again on the radio? Yeah people say you need to express your pain and all that bull but seriously... get over it and move on with your life. If you have one, that is.
