Sure.....If They Can Actually Sing
Some actors can't sing but they go into this industry and use all this stuff to make their voices sound better and then when they are in concert they really suck. If they can sing then great....we all hope that their music is awesome. If they are already singers and want to become actors then thats great too...as long as they have talent. Most actors only become singers because of all the voices they have to use in acting...it helps their singing voice. Weird I know but its true. So, yea...I have to say that its pretty kewl.

I'd totally dig the actor turned singer thing if the actors could actually sing! Sure, there are a few who can (i.e. (insert name here)...and all those others). But for the most part, Hollywood misses in the music department. If only the studio wouldn't sing for them...

Most of them suck.
Most actors turned singers have little or no vocal ability. Case in point: Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. Apparently, having a show on the Disney channel gaurentees you a record deal. I'm really not into singers turned actors either. (Britney Spears in "Crossroads" and Mariah Carey in "Glitter" are good examples of the folly of singers trying to act.) While there are some celebrities, such as Madonna, who have been sucessful in both movies and music, people should stick with what they're good at.

I only like 2 actors/actresses in bands...
Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars, and Jenny Louis and Blake Sennet from Rilo Kiley. They are awesome. But a lot of the other stuff I have heard from actors and actresses SUCK monkey toes.

Firstly, it's really not fair that actors become singers, unless they have a good voice. It wouldn't be fair to all the good singers out there. Actors are actors. Nothing much else than that. For example, ASHLEE SIMPSON...DISGRACEFUL. OR HILARY DUFF..Be what you were before, it's better.

If they're actually good, I don't have a problem w/ it, but usually it seems that they're untalented, but just given a singing career for free because they're already successfull as actors. It's just a ploy to make money since if people are already a fan of that actor they'll probably buy the debut album. And it's not fair to talented muscians who are trying to break into the musci business that it's made even harder fgor them cause of untalented whores who get record deals for free.

its just foolish that actresses think that because they have a good career and everyone loves them that they would make a good singer as well or vice versa. obviously its not the case ie.lindsay lohan, hilary duff, jennifer lopez and the list goes on. being able to sing in the shower does not mean you should become a singer,im getting sick of all these women ruining the music or movie business with the talent they don't have. i mean there are people out there struggling to become singers(and actually have talent) but are ignored because of the shitty ramblings of girls who use $ to get on the hit list. stick with what you know and maybe your career won't go down the drain like those of so many others
