Hi.
Hairiness is probably more common among women than any of us realize because women so often get rid of "unwanted" hair before anyone can see evidence of it. Our culture seems to stigmatize hairiness in women and has begun to label it as "bad" or "dirty" when it's not at all.
According to Dr. Karen Rosewater, hair growth for women can be on a spectrum from a little to a lot and these variations are normal. Some people are simply predisposed to hairiness by their genetics.
There are some situations, however, in which hairiness in women might be due to extra amounts of hormones such as testosterone. A physician should be able to determine whether this is the case by analyzing your blood and can address hormonal imbalances if they are found.

Take care.
