Hostile Environment Harassment is when a place like work becomes uncomfortable because of sexual conduct, pictures, comments, etc. The behaviors must be seen as offensive to a "reasonable person." In order to press charges, the harassment needs to occur on a regular basis. Also, the individual must show that he or she has ignored comments requesting the harassment to stop.
Sexual harassment can happen at any time with any person. Most incidents are males sexually harassing females, but it can also be females harassing other females or males, and even males harassing males. Sexual harassment can occur with people of the same age, within groups or by authority figures.
