Even though I am totally fascinated by science, I prefer reading about giant mutant protozoa to counting the real ones under a microscope. I love sci-fi because it presents unusual theories about our universe and makes us ask big questions.

What IF protozoa were huge? What would that mean? And would they be friendly or would they try to step on us with their gigantic, slimy cilia? More importantly, which option makes a better story?
