With all the changes, we figured you'd have a lot of questions. We've attempted to answer the ones that we think you are bound to have...
1. Where's my profile?
Although your username has not changed, you will need to create a new profile (we're calling 'em rooms now because they are so...ROOMY ;-)). We apologize for the inconvenience, but...now you can post up to five pictures, add a lot more info about yourself and create a gURLfriends list and an ignore list! Make a room now.
2. What happened to my gURL grams?
gURL grams were deleted to make way for gURL's new room-to-room messaging system. You can still connect with other gURLs by sending them an email through their rooms. Don't worry, your email address will be hidden from view. And this way, you will know as soon as you check your email when someone has sent you a message.
3. Where's reader poetry?
Reader poetry is now in the hands of gURLs. You can post and read poems on our new and improved poetry shout out board. You can even poll other gURLs about your poems. Check it out!
4. What happened to the shout out boards?
Our very cute but VERY OLD and VERY CONFUSING shout out boards have been replaced by flashier, more up-to-date boards. You can now tweak colors and fonts of your posts, spell check them, post pictures to them, create your own POLLS and put up pictures in your rooms (aka profiles). There't lots more you can do; check out our boards help pages to learn more about the new shout out boards...
5. Where's crafty gURL?
Crafty gURL is no longer available (though if you make enough noise, we'll bring back a better version). BUT you can swap great crafty and d.i.y. ideas with other gURLs in the new Arts & Crafts shoutout.
6. Why can't I find my saved cybersweetie(s)?
All cybersweeties made and saved before April 15th had to be laid to rest due to the new improvements and changes that came with gURL's makeover. We're very sorry about the loss of your saved cybersweeties and invite you to make new sweethearts.
7. What happened to my friends quizzes?
Unfortunately, the friends quizzes were one of the things we had to let go of in the site makeover. A lot of you told us that they weren't too fond of the friends quizzes, anyway, so hopefully they won't be missed too much. If you ARE sorry they are gone, take heart! We're planning some really interesting viral quizzes for the future. In the mean time, check out quizzes central!
8. Where's gURL trouble? We unfortunately had to retire the gURL trouble comix. But check out all of the other great comix in the comix section!
9. What happened to the awards show game?
Unfortunately we weren't able to keep this game; it would have been too hard and too expensive to build in our new system. But don't fret, we plan to create bigger, better cooler features for you. R.I.P., awards show game.
10. How do I navigate?
Along the top of every page is a menu of different pages and features that you can go to. They are broken into different categories according to what you can do there. For example, games and quizzes are under "PLAY." You can click on the links in each menu. If you would like to navigate by topic (eg., sex or body image), you can click on any of the links under the "EXPLORE" at the top and bottom of every page on the site.
11. Where's reader advice?
Reader advice has been given a new name and format! It is now called Advice gURL. Check it out.
12. Where is my saved reality tv show?
All reality tv shows created and saved before April 15th were deleted due to the new improvements and changes that came with gURL's makeover. We're very sorry about the loss of your saved shows and invite you to make new ones.
13. Where's my saved boy band?
All boy bands created and saved before April 15th were deleted due to the new improvements and changes that came with gURL's makeover. We're very sorry about the loss of your saved boy bands and invite you to make new ones.
14. Where's my saved rock band?
All rock bands made and saved before April 15th were deleted due to the new improvements and changes that came with gURL's makeover. We're very sorry about the loss of your saved rock bands and invite you to make new ones.
15. I had an email with my saved quiz results but the link doesn't work anymore...
All quiz results saved before April 15th were deleted due to new improvements and changes that came with gURL's makeover. We're very sorry about the loss of your saved quiz results. We hope you will take the quiz again. Your new results will automatically be saved so you can go back to them in the future. Go take a quiz.
16. What happened to Free Will Astrology?
Free Will Astrology has been replaced by daily horoscopes created in conjunction with our new partner Astrology.com. In fact, the whole astrology section has gotten a lot bigger--we've added lots of new games and profiles. Check out our new Astrology section.
